Abby Sprague, Director

Abby Sprague

Abby Sprague has served as the Director of the Lighthouse for Christ since 2018. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in cultural studies from K-State in 2017, where her interest in social and non-profit work took root. Abby has diverse work experience including retail and positions at the Clay Center Carnegie Library, a plant pathology lab during her senior year at K-State, and Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community.

Abby believes that God used each of these experiences to prepare her for her current role at the Lighthouse. She and her husband, Clay, have two daughters. They enjoy swimming in their backyard pool and hosting gatherings with family and friends at their home.

Greta Hadduck, Assistant Director

Greta Hadduck

Greta Hadduck took on the role of Assistant Director in August 2024. This position was created to fill a need for the growing responsibilities Abby was taking on as the Lighthouse grew, and to explore the ways a bigger impact could be made online.

She spent 2 years as a proofreader and 6 years as a web content editor and web content specialist before making a big change to take on part-time work. She teaches preschool part-time at The Ark Preschool in addition to her Lighthouse work. She is excited to use these roles to work locally as Christ’s hands and feet in Clay Center.

Greta and her husband, Perry, have two young daughters and live on a farm north of Clay Center. There, they enjoy birding, gardening, and spending time with their cats, chickens, and miniature horses.
